A New Chapter for Bivacco Frattini: Art and Sustainability at High Altitude

Milan Bergamo Airport proudly supports the redevelopment project of Bivacco Frattini, a unique initiative that combines contemporary art, sustainability, and the enhancement of the mountain territory. Promoted by GAMeC in collaboration with the CAI of Bergamo, the project is part of the biennial program Thinking Like a Mountain, aimed at exploring the dialogue between humans, nature, and culture.

Located in the Orobie Bergamasche, the bivouac will be transformed into an innovative structure designed not only as a shelter for hikers but also as a space dedicated to cultural promotion. A true testament to the integration of art and the mountains.

The bivouac-museum will not be just a resting place but a center for artistic promotion, environmental education, and sustainable tourism. The structure will be equipped with technologies for environmental monitoring, transmitting real-time images and data to GAMeC and CAI.

Milan Bergamo Airport’s contribution to this initiative reinforces its commitment to sustainable development and the dialogue between the region and various sectors of society. The project represents a concrete opportunity to rediscover the mountains as a shared heritage, offering a new perspective that highlights the connections between humans, nature, and culture.
