In October, we had the pleasure of being one of the protagonists of BergamoScienza, the project that aims to make science accessible to all through meetings, events and interventions throughout the city of Bergamo.
On the occasion of the 20th edition of the festival, which took place from 29 September to 16 October, we were guests of an episode of Scienza in azienda (Science in the Company), the column that takes the initiative and its viewers on a journey to discover the important enterprises in Bergamo.
The meeting, which examined the future of the airport in terms of operational efficiency and sustainability, saw the participation of numerous figures from SACBO, including the President Giovanni Sanga, the Managing Director Emilio Bellingardi, Alberto Cominassi, Director Of Operations and Post Holder Airfield & Terminal, Paolo Deforza and Veronica Giavazzi, from the infrastructure directorate – environment and territory unit, and Ettore Pizzaballa, Head of Information Systems.
The entire episode, which can be viewed below, took its cue from sustainability to address some of the drivers that will lead the airport sector through the challenges expected over the coming years, such as digitalisation, optimisation of energy resources, zero consumption and numerous other points.
We have a long-standing relationship with BergamoScienza, having been one of the main supporters of this initiative for years. The initiative is an example of Bergamo-based excellence that has been working to spread culture and science since 2003 and can now boast international fame.
