The ACI Study Tour Stops at BGY

The younger generations represent the driving force for change and the opportunity to build a more innovative and sustainable future, including in the professional sector.

Young professionals under 40 from European airports such as Milan Malpensa and Linate, Bergamo, Bologna, Naples, Athens, Munich, Riga, Stuttgart, Tallinn, Tirana, and Vienna participated in three days of meetings filled with numerous insights. The 2024 Study Tour proved to be a significant occasion to look toward the future with optimism and energy. Milan Bergamo Airport (BGY) served as the final stop in this extraordinary journey designed to foster dialogue and idea-sharing among the young minds in the European airport industry.

The event offered a unique opportunity for cultural exchange and dialogue, inspiring the younger generations to develop innovative solutions in applying artificial intelligence and adopting sustainable strategies. These efforts aim to enhance operational efficiency on runways, reduce time and resource consumption, and support the energy transition process.

Aligned with ACI Europe’s initiative, BGY strengthens its daily commitment to promoting increasingly efficient connectivity in aviation, actively contributing to shaping a better future for air transport. Key themes such as the green economy, innovation in human resource management, sustainability, and new technologies are becoming increasingly integrated into airport development strategies.

Milan Bergamo Airport’s commitment to promoting initiatives like this underscores its ambition to be not only a strategic hub but also a center for ideas and innovation. Looking ahead, BGY will continue to invest in training, sustainability, and innovation, determined to shape air transport that is more efficient, responsible, and connected.
