Art takes flight; the treasures of the Carrara Academy on display at Milan Bergamo Airport.

In the wake of the performance event Raffaello Fly Zone in 2018, our terminal once again plays host to art from the Accademia Carrara.

From 21 July 2022 to 26 February 2023, our Hello Sky Lounge is exhibiting “Hello Carrara”, a small exhibition of six works from the collection of the Bergamo art gallery.

The project marks the return of the collaboration between the two major institutions on the occasion of Bergamo Brescia Italian Capitals of Culture 2023, which will see our airport as the main hub for access to the cities of Bergamo and Brescia.

The selected paintings, including portraits, landscapes, still-life works and genre scenes, will provide passengers and visitors with a foretaste of the treasures on display in the museum.

Below is the list of works on display:

  • Composition of flowers in a blue vase – Francesco Mantovano (Francesco Caldei)
  • Composition of flowers in a terracotta vase – Laura Bernasconi
  • A grieving family – James Trécourt
  • Portrait of Joseph Luzac – Giuseppe Rillosi
  • Perspective view of the cloister of San Francesco in Bergamo – Francesco Coghetti
  • View of Piazza Grande in Bergamo – Costantino Rosa
