The airport of tomorrow: students playing an active role in imagining the future

Milan Bergamo Airport has always demonstrated its support for younger generations, promoting experiences and opportunities for students who take their first steps in the world of employment in a large organisation such as SACBO.

“The airport of tomorrow” is a project organised by the students of the Don Milani high school in Romano di Lombardia (BG), who recently took part in a work experience course in our airport. Through their contact with our organisation, they have spoken about their view of how large-scale territorial infrastructure can evolve in the name of innovation and future opportunities.

The project has been presented at the Bergamo Chamber of Commerce, which has assigned the school with the “Stories of Work Experience and Skills” award, an initiative promoted by the Italian Chambers of Commerce with the aim of valorising and providing a platform for accounts of work experience from students from Italian secondary schools and technical institutes regarding various contemporary themes.

Collaboration between schools and organisations such as BGY can create added value for both parties and for society in general. New points of view, original ideas and constant exchange lead to the creation of significant synergy, lending form to beneficial and high-impact projects and solutions.
