On Friday, June 20, Milan Bergamo Airport hosted an event dedicated to raising awareness of two pressing social issues: bullying and gender-based violence. The morning featured institutional speeches, testimonies, and informational sessions, with the participation of law enforcement, local representatives, and SACBO, demonstrating a shared commitment to protecting the most vulnerable.
The initiative, promoted by the municipalities of Barzana and Ubiale Clanezzo with the involvement of the administrations of Orio al Serio, Grassobbio, and Seriate, was opened by Local Police Commander Pietro Costantino and Chief Commissioner Riccardo Brioschi, representing the Municipality of Orio. Milan Bergamo Airport President Giovanni Sanga also gave a welcome address, stressing the importance of “building networks” to combat phenomena that harm our social fabric.
At the heart of the meeting were the projects “Bullo chi?”—aimed at tackling bullying and cyberbullying—and “Non sei sola”, focused on supporting victims of violence. Milan Bergamo Airport extended its commitment beyond the event itself, distributing free informational and awareness materials in the departures area, before the security checkpoints, with the support of law enforcement.
In the presence of the mayors of the participating municipalities, representatives of Polaria, the Guardia di Finanza, and the Carabinieri, the event aimed to send a clear message: the fight against violence requires awareness, solidarity, and the joint efforts of institutions.
Milan Bergamo Airport reaffirms its role as a public space open to dialogue and civic responsibility, giving a voice to those who work every day for a fairer, more attentive, and respectful society for all.
