SACBO, in collaboration with the Municipality of Cavernago, has once again demonstrated its commitment to the local community by carrying forward a donation initiative for the reuse of materials and utensils from the canteen at Milan Bergamo Airport, which is currently out of use.
The donation was rendered official by the Mayor of the Municipality of Cavernago, Giuseppe Togni, who, through a formal declaration, allowed for the procurement of the equipment and utensils that have remained unused by the airport.
This initiative represents an important step for the local community, as the material recovered will be used in a number of municipal structures. Specifically, it will be re-used in the kitchens of the future branch of the Alpine Club, which is currently under construction and that will be opened in 2024. It will also contribute to the party area in the Municipality of Malpaga, the kitchens in the Oratorio, and the Parish nursery school.
Support for local communities is a commitment that large-scale organisations such as BGY cannot ignore. The valorisation of unused assets and their re-use as new items promotescircularity and a high level of social commitment.
The collaboration between Milan Bergamo Airport and the Municipality of Cavernago is a tangible example of how companies can make an active contribution to the community, supporting important local projects. This is a gesture of solidarity that is the result of synergy and shared awareness, all in the name of personal well-being.
