From April 4th to 6th, Bergamo Fair hosted the tenth edition of Agritravel & Slow Travel Expo, a national benchmark for those envisioning tourism that respects places, enhances communities, and promotes a more mindful travel style. Over 20,000 visitors attended the event, drawn by a program rich in experiences, meetings, and insights on topics that are increasingly central to the contemporary tourism landscape.
Amid meetings, workshops, and activities, the fair also dedicated time to meaningful reflections on accessibility, sustainability, and inclusion. In this context, BGY reaffirmed its active commitment by participating in several discussions focused on soft mobility and the value of territorial networks.
In particular, during the conference “Discoveries on Two Wheels, Alone or with the Family,” Elena Massoletti, our cycling mobility representative, spoke about the journey that led Milan Bergamo Airport to obtain the Bike Friendly certification—a recognition that highlights the airport’s strategic role as a sustainable gateway to the region.
Aldo Vignati, head of quality and customer relations at Milan Bergamo Airport, also spoke at the conference “The Importance of Building Networks,” where he presented the initiatives aimed at assisting people with disabilities at airports, as well as the processes and implementations for supporting individuals with autism.
The event also featured an intervention by President Giovanni Sanga, who took part in the panel “Shared Heritage Between Protection and Development”— a dialogue with institutions and stakeholders on how to promote cultural and landscape heritage through a responsible tourism approach. Agritravel Expo once again proves to be a forward-looking event, inspiring new travel visions and fostering concrete synergies between the public and private sectors. An edition that successfully blended tradition and innovation.
